Case for Hacksterio Soracom Big Brother @ Home project. This cylindrical case holds mounts for a Pi Zero W, a Pi Camera, and a Huawei MS2131i-8 cellular modem securely in place. Print the cylinder top down to ensure proper assembly. After printing and mounting, visit our project on Hacksterio at https://www.hackster.io/jim-ewing/big-brother-home-distributed-wireless-ai-security-551677 for a Pi Zero sdcard image that includes an AI software system capable of recognizing people, pets, and vehicles, and sending email notifications when detected. If you prefer to build and hack your own system, we provide the steps we followed to create the software. The system is designed as a low-cost AI security solution that can be trained to detect suspicious activity in view of the camera and notify the owner promptly. The stepper motor mount and controller are optional but can be added for the ability to swing the camera around the base. We used a 5V DC stepper with a ULN2003 controller to achieve this feature.
