To dismantle a Harbor Freight Tools 4.8V screwdriver, visit http://www.harborfreight.com/48-volt-cordless-screwdriver-kit-68394.html. Inside, you'll discover a robust 2-stage planetary gear drive. However, the gearbox housing usually requires the screwdriver enclosure for assembly. Since I wanted to experiment with it, I created a replacement housing holder. This is an initial attempt for those interested in hacking their Harbor Freight 4.8V Screwdriver. The current version has thin ribs that may be too short, causing delamination. Rev 2 addresses this issue by making the ribs thicker and adding filets to prevent cracking. Print with .35 mm layers, 3 extra shells, and 50% infill using ABS for optimal results. Don't forget to remove support for overhanging blocks near the motor and clean any leftovers before inserting it.
