BoorT showcased the process of creating a 3D printable HackADay logo using various tools. Firstly, he downloaded the HackADay logo from hackaday.com, imported it into Inkscape and traced, cleaned up the design, set stroke and fill to black, named the path, and set Document Defaults to millimeters, scaling the image to approximately 50mm. He then exported the logo as an OpenSCAD file using the Inkscape to OpenSCAD converter v2 from Thingiverse, before hand-editing the output to add variables and make it customizer-friendly. The end result was a HackADay logo ready for 3D printing with the new Customizer tool. Check out http://hackaday.com and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:25036 for more information.
