<p>Designed this new duct because i converted my Biqu BX cartesian printer into a Core XY Voron like printer and because of the new speeds that i can achieve , after testing many ducts on the internet i could not find a suitable one that would not resonate during high speed movements. Also there are a few other advantages to this duct.</p> <p>I put the F3d model so you can edit the model as you want. Maybe you dont want to use heat inserts, then adjust all the holes to 2.8mm.</p> <p>Main features of the ducts are:</p> <ul> <li>Low profile, close to the body of the extruder , helping with resonances</li> <li>4 Mounting points wich makes this system very rigid</li> <li>Blower fan is inverted to take heat away from the stepper motor and helps preven heat creep better, especially in a heated chamber</li> <li>ADXL345 mount build in</li> <li>Highly focused airflow directly on the print</li> <li>The exit mouth is further away from the heatblock compared to other solutions, preventing the duct from melting</li> <li>35to 40mm fan adapter for the Extruder cooler to achieve better heat creep capability or use noctua silent fans.</li> <li>use of 5015 blower fan for the part cooling fan</li> </ul> <p>Required hardware:</p> <p>10x M3 X 8 hex head</p> <p>2x M3 x 18 hex head - For the fan mount</p> <p>1x M3 X 5mm hex head - for the second accelerometer screw</p> <p>7x M3 X4.2 X3 Heat Insert</p> <p>3X M3 hex head ( chose your lenght of screw depending on what type of cooler you use)</p> <p>How to print:</p> <p>I printed mine from ABS at 120mm/s but print this at your best quality speed</p> <p>Use paint on suports if using Prusa or Super slicer and check the orientations and locations in the attached picture.</p> <h3>Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Rafts:</strong></p> <p>No</p> <p class="detail-setting supports"><strong>Supports: </strong> <div><p>Yes</p></div> </p> Category: 3D Printer Parts
