I use this all the time. My h1n lives in this rig so that it's always ready for any use. This model is designed to act as a basic shock mount for small audio recorders with a cold shoe on top for mounting a shotgun mic. I wanted something that could allow me to use the h1n on its own, but be versatile enough not to need a cold shoe V-mount bracket or anything bulky to attach additional microphones. This build does require some additional hardware: - 1/4-20 nut (available at any hardware store) - Mid to wide rubber bands - Double nut Cold shoe-1/4-20 adapter (available on Amazon through the link below) (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077XSCCNF/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=A1U4U3LPQJKZDA&psc=1) The models included have an open version, an easy print for printers that don't like many supports, and an experimental version with 2 extra cold shoes on the side. The open sides allow for accessing some functions on most recorders as well as flexing and reducing weight. However, they are not required. The pictures are from the last iteration that had less open sides and bulkier rubber band holders. But the print should work just as well on the newer models. Feel free to modify this design for your needs, but please don't sell it as your own creation.
