H0 Building Model Swiss Farm House Berner Bauernhaus Colored
thingiverse
This is a model of a typical old farmhouse from the canton of Bern, Switzerland. A traditional “Bern style” farmhouse is easily identified by the round arch on the front roof. These traditional farmhouses combine living quarters and barn / animal shed under one large roof. You can still find many of these fine buildings when you travel the countryside in the lowlands of the canton of Bern. The model is inspired by an existing farmhouse and includes many features and details of the original, particularly of the front section. I shortened the building a bit and I left out a middle section which has been modernized a few years ago.The model is in H0 model railway scale (1:87). I designed it in Tinkercad and have printed my copies on a printer combination of Anycubic Vyper and Bambu Lab X1C using PLA filament. I wanted the model to be realistic and detailed yet easy to print without support, so I had to add some stabilizer structures and had to make some compromises, especially in minor details and small parts. The joints and part fittings are designed with tolerances of 0,25mm, so they should fit well together with some margins. It is not a tight fit, which means you will have to glue the parts together – like in most plastic model kits. The model has close to 100 major parts, and many more additional minor parts for decoration. There is a step-by-step instruction for building the model from the parts. The model is divided into many STL files to give you a lot of color options. To build the model in realistic colors you will need 8-10 different filament colors.Enjoy.
