This 150x100mm compact 3D printer utilizes the H-BOT principle and features a 9mm GT2 belt. Ultimaker 2 parts such as bed springs and screws are available on Aliexpress for purchase. Each idler consists of a pair of F695 bearings with a 695 in between, along with an 8x5x1 spacer for the gantry idlers and two spacers for corner idlers. The leadscrew is a TR8, while LMK12LUU bearings, 12mm shafts, and SK12 aluminum shaft holders are employed. Plates should be made from either 4.7 or 3/16" aluminum. Hiwin rails (150mm MGN12H for Y axis and 200mm MGN12C for X axis) ensure smooth movement. The X carriage houses an aluminum GT2 belt clamp sourced from Aliexpress, designed to accommodate a future E3D Chimera or Cyclops hotend mount. Although a bit pricey due to the Hiwin rails, this printer can be modified into a CoreXY for larger build volumes and cheaper knock-off rails. Manual bed leveling through Marlin ensures optimal performance without an auto-leveling sensor.
