This is a drivetrain for FTC that includes 5 Omni wheels and 3 motors, along with several other crucial components. The title indicates that it features mechanism abilities, enabling the robot to move sideways as well as forward and backward. Although there are other Omni wheel drivetrains with similar capabilities, they rely on having all four wheels situated at the corners and being configured in a square shape to operate correctly. One notable advantage of this design is its ability to perform mecanum wheel drive using only 3 motors instead of the traditional 4 required by most mecanum wheel configurations. Furthermore, it utilizes Omni wheels exclusively, which are significantly cheaper than high-quality mecanum wheels, priced at around $160 each. However, there is a potential drawback: this drivetrain may necessitate the use of all three motors, possibly leaving one motor unused. It's worth noting that this design adheres to the Tetrix standard and utilizes components sourced from pitsco.com.
