The "G" shape was altered and printed, as demonstrated in the accompanying image that depicted it on the flat surface of the letter "G". This was accomplished without any support structures. The printing process utilized PLA plastic through a Rep2 3D printer, operated with standard Makerware settings for a layer height of 0.2mm. The outcome was successful.
