This OpenSCAD script generates a WIMU holder for calibrating WIMUv3 gyroscopes on a turntable. Version 2.2, dated January 10, 2012, is available; it includes features like mouse ears and dimensions adapted to mass-produced SLA clear resin WIMUv3 packaging (30.6 x 32.5 x 38.5). Previous versions introduced a finger cutout for easier item removal (v2.1) and an increased internal hole size for larger, Tyndall-printed WIMUv3 packaging (v2.0). The initial design was in AutoCAD (v1.0). To enhance the holder, consider adding struts between inner and outer edges as a future improvement. Aside from this OpenSCAD script, also build a turntable and a 25mm mote-based cube WIMUv3 system, writing device firmware, motor control code, and PC-based calibration code. After printing the fixture, securely bolt it to the turntable and insert the packaged, uncalibrated WIMUv3 gyroscope for calibration.
