This drone model is part of the MicroDrone 3.0 design competition. The file contains two Gyrocopter models - one original and untouched, the second edited for the competition. After serving through wars, upheaval, riots, and revolutions, the brass decided Aurel had seen enough action. In addition to a few trinkets and his pension, he left with something far more interesting: an incomplete schematic for a Gyrocopter, the world's first manned flying device that didn't use magic. He retired to the Ash Archipelago, where time and money were all he had. Setting out to build the Gyrocopter, years went by and failed prototypes piled up. Aurel began to wonder if mechanical flight was even possible. A decade after retirement, on a sunny afternoon with a southerly breeze, he sat in his latest attempt, expecting failure but ready to give it one last try. With a grunt of effort, he pulled the ignition cord and covered his head, waiting for the explosion that would surely come. But instead, Aurel began to lift off the ground, and following some panicked adjustments, he stabilized. Within an hour, he was flying with the gulls, feeling the breathless wonder of flight. As dusk settled in, he set a course back to his workshop but no sooner had he turned when a cannonball tore through his tailfin. Disentangling himself from the wreckage, Aurel swam toward the nearest piece of land and cursed to see the ship collecting the debris. Days later, Aurel returned to his workshop and set out to build another Gyrocopter, one that could carry a heavier, more dangerous payload.
