gyro spinner
thingiverse
A set of 4 concentric rings with adjustable handles that can snap together in 8 precise positions. This innovative toy was designed to test the effects of spinning the outer ring on the inner ones, which are tailored for optimal interaction at various settings. To enhance stability and create a more realistic experience, I incorporated an internal ring that securely holds 6 heavy-duty steel balls with a diameter of 9.5mm. This ingenious design was created using Tinkercad's online platform. Feel free to edit it directly here: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/hMSlYDH51KO Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao i3 Plus Rafts: None Supports: Yes, exclusively from the print bed or manually inserted under the handles only. Resolution: .25 Infill: 20% Notes: For optimal results, use supports solely from the print bed or insert manual supports carefully under the handles. The rings and inward-facing indentations do not require support. I successfully printed with PLA; however, ABS materials resulted in warped handles that failed to maintain their round shape and dowel-like appearance.
