Gyro / Electronic Holder for WPL D12

Note: Slice the .stl file directly using Cura. If you try to "fix it" or "clean it" using other software, it might give unwanted result. This is a gyro holder for WPL D12. It also can be used to place some electronic as long as it fits. In this case I use it to put RBR/C gyro. This is an affordable gyro that works well in WPL D12. Just for note, it works better than GYC300 gyro. Most people place RBR/C gyro on the rear deck. Its the simplest and easiest way. However, as long as I know, gyro on RC Drift works better if you put it as low as possible, so I design this gyro holder. If you have old WPL D12, you can use this version by GTnos that even have lower center of gravity: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4681010 (you can't use this version if you have new WPL D12 since it has crossbar on the rear) If you want to use my gyro holder, you need to do these things: 1. Use M2 screw to attach gyro holder (you need to drill the chassis). If you don't want to drill the chassis, then glue it or use other method. Be careful not to damage the battery cable when you drill the chassis. I just need to drill one wall on each side, I don't need to drill it through. Use drill bit that smaller than M2 screw so you don't need the nut to fasten it. 2. RBR/C gyro cable is so short that I need to rotate the electronic face to compensate the short cable. However, I need to make motor cable longer so it can reach the electronic. I don't want to make gyro cable longer since (maybe) it might affect gyro sensitivity. Just try it and you'll know what I mean or watch the video. 3. You also need to cut some hole on the rear deck because the servo cable position is touch the deck. But it also useful to set the gain (gyro sensitivity) easily. Note: if you use flat gyro with a long cable, i.e. Yokomo V4, you don't need to face point 2 and 3 problem.
