Ancient Gypsum Panel Relief Depicts Energetic Horseman Under Siege. The horseman moves swiftly, but is suddenly ambushed by two agile Assyrian warriors on horseback. His hair is cut straight and ends in distinctive curls, while his short beard features two striking lines of straight hair near its tip. He wears a fringed tunic secured by multiple girdles, low-cut boots, and a helmet with earflaps and a prominent crest-like plate. Dating back to 728 BC, this stunning relief was discovered within the walls of Tiglath-pileser III's majestic Palace of Nimrud. The panel measures an impressive Height: 127 centimeters and Width: 111 centimeters.
