sketchfab
Human remains discovered in Tiglath-pileser III's Southwest Palace at Nimrud date back to 728 BC. This wall panel, one of many, displays two distinct scenes. Above, Tiglath-pileser III's forces assault a town likely situated in Syria. Below, Assyrian warriors transport captured gods from a defeated foe. The inscription in the center recounts the resettlement of prisoners following the Assyrian campaign of 745 BC.
