Also known as the Griffon Vulture or Buiter Leonado, this species is easily recognizable due to its distinctive appearance. In 2009, a new specimen of Gyps fulvus was discovered with an interesting characteristic on its left carpal-metacarpal joint. This discovery was documented under catalog number MZB 2009-0034. The size of this vulture's wingspan is notable, measuring (mm) in depth by (mm) in width.
