2.5mm thickness for plexiglass or acrylic pieces. (nine) 3mm LEDs. (three) LEDs are wired in series in three groups and wired in parallel, resulting in a total voltage of 9 volts. A standard 9-volt battery fits into the backside using a standard 9-volt battery connector. Holes on the back for mounting purposes are drilled in place. All parts are simply glued together after wiring is complete. Using a Chalk Board marker to write names and other information on the backside of plexiglass or acrylic creates an optimal lighting effect.
