Human beings have a strong connection to places where physical activities take place, such as sports arenas or music halls. Gymnasiums serve a dual purpose - either for competitive events like gymnastics, wrestling, and volleyball tournaments or as large event spaces that can accommodate thousands of people for concerts and live performances. When classified by function, gymnasiums are primarily categorized into two main types: stadiums and gymnasiums. Depending on the sport in focus, some are specialized halls for basketball, hockey rinks for ice hockey players, athletic tracks and fields, or multipurpose spaces. Others can be designated large-scale, mid-sized, or smaller, according to their size and purpose. Currently, China boasts an impressive count of more than 8,000 stadium facilities and nearly 3,000 mid-size ones. Moreover, they can be easily repurposed for various cultural performances, acting as makeshift centers for performing arts.
