Guywire equalizer plate for amature radio mast
thingiverse
I'm building a guy wire plate for my 10m amateur radio antenna mast. There are plenty of forces at play here, so I've intentionally over-engineered it. The result is a palm-sized equalizer plate that's as tough as rock. This is the first iteration, and I don't see this design changing much anytime soon. For added durability, I recommend using ABS material with a 50% increase in thickness, mounted on a raft. A destructive test was conducted, but it ended inconclusively. However, I was able to lift the bucket held by the plate for several seconds before it broke. Unfortunately, the batteries were probably dead at the time, so I couldn't read the display properly.
