Guy Rope Cinch
thingiverse
Here's an alternative design for a guy rope cinch, a concept I'm currently testing out to improve upon existing solutions. The main goal is to create a cinch that can be quickly tightened and released with just one hand. This design is specifically tailored to work with 3mm paracord, which provides the necessary strength and durability. When paired with my previously uploaded guy rope hook and shackles, this cinch offers a reliable solution for securing tents. I used PETG filament to print these cinches, taking advantage of its impressive strength and toughness. During a recent camping trip, I put them to the test and they performed reasonably well, but I'm convinced there's still room for improvement. Keep in mind that this is an ongoing work-in-progress, so things might change as I continue to refine the design.
