Guqin prop

Guqin prop

This prop is designed to mimic Lan Wangji's guqin from Grandmaster Of Demonic Cultivation. A miniature version (scaled for 1/6 dolls) as well as a life-size version (split into sections suitable for 20x20x20 cm printers) are available. Be aware that the life-size version is massive and would take approximately two weeks and four spools of filament to complete. During my modeling process, I conducted research on actual guqin construction using blueprints and discovered that it might produce sound when played. However, due to a lack of sufficient information (and often contradictory data) regarding Dragon's Tongue, Tone Pond, and Sound Pool elements, I chose not to include them in the model, as similar instruments have been seen without these features. Assembly Instructions I recommend printing the pieces in pairs before gluing them together using epoxy. For example: bottomL3 + bottomR3 = bottom3 topL4 + topR4 = top4 Once all 12 segments (top1, top2, ..., top6, bottom1, bottom2, ..., bottom6) are printed, glue them in pairs again, like this: top1+top2 = T1 top3+top4 = T2 top5+top6 = T3 bottom1+bottom2 = B1 bottom3+bottom4 = B2 bottom5+bottom6 = B3 Then glue T1 + T2 + T3, B1 + B2 + B3 together to form the complete top and bottom planks of the guqin. Sand and paint the interior parts if desired (excluding the edges where assembly will take place). Epoxy the top and bottom sections together. If you sanded and painted the inside, use masking tape to protect it. Finally, sand and paint the outside. Complete the prop with some strings.
