This is an exact replica of the renowned Federation Gunship Edens class, manufactured from 2500 to 2655, with a remarkable total of 144 units built over that span. The FS Hood suffered a devastating fate when it was destroyed by sabotage while under construction in 2599, and the FS Kimitai met a similar end when it was abandoned on Altair III due to being almost complete. The initial sub-class featured only laser turrets, whereas the latter sub-class incorporated a mix of laser and nuke cannons into its arsenal. By 2660, nearly all surviving Edens class ships had undergone significant upgrades, equipping them with an all-nuke cannon configuration and retiring or repurposing many of their laser turrets for planetary defense roles. This model can be outfitted with either the beam turrets sporting shorter cone lasers or the longer nuke slug cannon turrets that became increasingly popular over time. It is highly recommended to print 3 turrets of each type to accurately represent a ship in its early, mid, and late sub-classes. The Edens class gunships earned their nickname "Ugly sisters" due to their rugged appearance, yet they played a vital role in system defense operations thanks to their dedicated interstellar engines. These ships also share a distinct family resemblance with the exploration and cruiser classes built by Titan-Millford Inc., further highlighting their significance within the Federation's fleet.
