This project stems from inspiration by my father. The goal is to create an enormous printer capable of constructing objects up to 30cm in height, with a bounding box of approximately 60x60x50. To achieve this, I started with the DXF file of a Prusa i3 single plate and made necessary modifications on a 10mm MDF laser-cut structure. Although there's much work left to do, I would appreciate your thoughts. Visit my website, http://www.indiegearlab.com/galleria-fotografica-reprap-h-bot-gungnir for a photo gallery. On July 11th, 2014, I completed the structure and began testing it. I've since switched to a Core XY RepRap movement system, which you can see in action on this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkwYAObTUDg As of September 23rd, 2014, a prototype was produced a month prior, and a friend is currently building the alpha version. I plan to update the file shortly, allowing anyone to construct this machine. Additionally, using the SCAD file, you can produce DXFs and pieces for your preferred fired size.
