I took my first stab at creating a game-ready asset after completing the XYZ School course. The Gunblade from Final Fantasy VIII was my project of choice. I worked tirelessly to bring it to life, utilizing Maya for modeling and UV mapping, followed by baking in Marmoset to achieve the perfect blend of realism and efficiency. Next, I shifted gears to Substance Painter, where I painstakingly textured the blade with precision and care. The final result boasts an impressive 11k tris, making it a true marvel of low-poly perfection. I would be forever grateful for any feedback you can provide on my handiwork!
