A simple pistol-shaped thermometer, make it in PLA and the electronics used are: An Arduino Pro Mini, an Oled Display 1.3, an Infrared Temperature Sensor MLX 90614 GY906, a Mini Switch, a Laser Transmitter that does not work and in my case a Buffer to sound an alarm if the temperature is higher than 37.5 C. Maybe you should file a little bit of the inserts because they are very tight and if you force it, it could break.
