Gun from "In the line of fire"
thingiverse
Here is my version of the gun from "In The Line Of Fire". To bring it to life, the mechanism needs to cock and fire seamlessly. Since this prop is derived from a movie, there are no firing pins to rely on, and the barrel has been blocked for safety reasons. You'll need to print two triggers and two sears to complete the assembly, but be prepared for some hand-fitting adjustments as you bring the moving parts into play. Don't forget to print an additional screw, which will require cutting down to size to serve as a trigger pin. The trigger tops must also be precision-crafted with clearance in mind so they can rotate freely upwards. To assemble this intricate mechanism, you'll need a few specialized tools at your disposal: a 4mm tap and die set for threading the assembly screw. On top of that, you'll require two ballpoint pen springs to add some much-needed tension to the trigger system. Good luck with the printing process, and don't hesitate to push the limits – print this model at 100% fill for optimal results.
