The iron alloy gun cock was recovered archaeologically from a domestic site in western Fairfax County, Virginia. It dates back to the 18th century. On February 16, 2018, this artifact was carefully 3D scanned using a Go!Scan 50 scanner within the archaeology laboratory of the Archaeology and Collections Branch of the Fairfax County Park Authority.
