Gumby and Pokey
thingiverse
Gumby is a beloved American clay animation franchise centered around its iconic green clay humanoid character created by Art Clokey. This character has been the star of two television series, one feature-length film, and numerous other media outlets. The Gumby series follows the adventures of its titular hero through various environments and historical periods. Alongside Gumby is Pokey, a charming talking pony who serves as his trusted sidekick. No supports are required for printing these models. If you have the necessary filament colors on hand, painting is also unnecessary. The assembled model of Gumby stands at 120mm tall, while the assembled model of Pokey measures 105mm in height. **Pokey should be orange, but due to a current shortage of this color, I substituted it with a dark yellow.** **Print Instructions:** Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 10% **Notes:** For helpful printing and assembly tips, refer to the notes below. **Building the Model:** Colors: Black: (Paramount3D PLA - Black) p_hair p_tail Blue: (Paramount3D PLA - Cadet Blue) p_eye_blues (contains two pieces) White: (Paramount3D PLA - White) g_eye_white_right g_eye_white_left p_eye_white_right p_eye_white_left Yellow: (Paramount3D PLA - Simpson Yellow) g_eyebrow_right g_eyebrow_left g_nose g_mouth Green: (Hatchbox PLA - True Green) g_body g_arm_right g_arm_left Red: (Hatchbox PLA - True Red) p_eyes_red Orange: (I did not have orange and substituted Paramount3D PLA - EggYolk Yellow) p_body p_body_with_supports (alternate piece with a built-in support for his chin) p_leg_front_right p_leg_back_right p_leg_front_left p_leg_back_left **Printing and Assembly Tips** Printing tips: 1. No supports are required. 2. Use your judgment, but no rafts or brims are needed. 3. Pokey should be printed in orange, but due to the current filament shortage, I am still waiting for this color to become available. 4. Pokey's legs all have the same connecting part to the body, but they are slightly different. Be sure to keep track of which piece is which. Assembly tips: 1. All parts that start with 'g_' are for Gumby and the parts with 'p_' are for Pokey. 2. The flat side from the print bed for the mouth goes into the body, as it is slightly tapered. 3. If you lose track of Pokey's legs, refer to the side view picture of him or use your model picture as a reference, just like I did. 4. Refer to the assembly diagram in the pictures section and the uploaded pictures for assembling the model. The model is meant to be glued. Do not hesitate to ask questions; feedback is essential to making better models.
