Guitar Sanding Block - 16 inch radius
prusaprinters

This is a simple radius block intended to be used to sand a 16 inch radius into a guitar fretboard. If you love building guitars, but hate buying expensive tools like sanding blocks, this should help.

I highly recommend purchasing a bargain box of adhesive backed sandpaper rolls from Klingspor. Here's a link: https://www.woodworkingshop.com/product/bb10000/

The adhesive on these works great and really allows you to just work the wood instead of fiddling with trying to make paper stick to something.

As always I am including the Fusion 360 file for those who wish to rework these to produce a different radius. Print the parts on end. However long you want it to be (I find 4" to be fine), just print that many sections and the requisite number of “link” pieces to tie them together. You can glue them in place or just rely on the sandpaper adhesive to stick them together. Just be careful not to flex them too much. The Klingspor paper is pretty high quality stuff, so let it do the work!
