Guitar plug Keychain Keyboard

Guitar plug Keychain Keyboard

I was inspired by a post on a Facebook group for 3D printer enthusiasts, but unfortunately, I couldn't locate the original source anymore. This is an innovative keyboard keychain holder that leverages guitar jacks to plug in keychains. The guitar plugs have resistance soldered across their terminals, allowing each keychain to be uniquely encoded. An Arduino Nano with a built-in Bluetooth HC-05 module is used to read the encoding of the keys and display it on an RGB LED. The keyboard can accommodate two keychains, but you can easily modify it to suit your needs. The design was created using FreeCAD 0.18.1, while the Arduino code was written in Arduino 1.8.5. The electronics are assembled under the Arduino in a free-form layout. Unfortunately, I didn't have access to proper RGB LEDs during my build, so I had to use separate 3mm LEDs instead. I plan to update this aspect soon. You can find the code and schematic for this project on my GitHub repository: https://github.com/stonetronics/guitarJackKeyboard
