Originally designed from Gibson Epiphone pickups, this project is laser-cut into cardboard layers. Unfortunately, it may not be MakerBotted without being assembled in two separate parts. The .scad file can be customized to create unique bobbin designs like larger or smaller sizes, varying magnet counts, and more. However, the bobbins are affordable at around $2.50 each. After setting parameters, exporting to STL format, slicing with Skeinforge software, assembling cardboard layers, winding the core with magnet wire, and inserting cylindrical magnets into holes, you can install the final product in your guitar for a rocking experience.
