Guitar Pick Magnetic Holder

Guitar Pick Magnetic Holder

Need a pick holder for your music stand or mic stand? Want to avoid using glue or clamps? This pick holder was designed to snap onto a metal stand using a rare earth magnet. You can find strong magnets at stores like Home Depot or Lee Valley tools, but I salvaged one from an old hard drive using a torx screwdriver set. The neodymium magnets are extremely powerful and easy to reuse; check YouTube for details. This design is based on Durac's remix, which features a small pocket to store spare magnets that keep the pick holder securely attached to the stand. It works amazingly well! The magnet I used fits perfectly and stays in place without glue. Remember to research safety guidelines before playing with powerful magnets and disassembling old hard drives. It's all fun until your phone gets erased.
