Guitar Peg Winder (Fully Printable!)
thingiverse
I designed this fully printable guitar peg winder after losing my store-bought one. I didn't need supports when printing the STL files as they are, but if you encounter problems with the peg cup, supports may prove helpful. Everything was printed at 0.2mm layer height and 25% infill. It performed well on two different printers - an AnyCubic Mega and a Monoprice Select - without any issues. The peg cup is large enough to easily fit most tuning peg styles (excluding the exceptionally big ones, you know the ones!). I recommend printing the peg cup first to ensure it fits your guitar or bass properly. The screw can be a tight fit. Screw it into the handle by hand, one turn at a time, and remove it again when it becomes hard to turn. Continue this process until the PLA wears in perfectly with no backlash. To increase strength, print the screw with more infill and thicker walls if desired. Troubleshooting tips: - If the screw doesn't fit, try printing with finer 0.1mm resolution. - Printing with a brim will help keep the handle from falling during a print.
