Guitar Neck Rest to securely hold your guitar on it's back while you are working on it.

This design is reworked from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:413815 to use less plastic and print in 1/2 the time. Like with Daeken's post, the OpenScad is included, so that you can adjust the size to your taste.

It works great for both solid body electrics and acoustics.

I used 3/32 sheet cork from Hobby Lobby glued on with Locktite spray adhesive "300 Heavy." Be sure to mask off places you don't want glue. This stuff is STICKY. Trim with a razor blade and sand slightly with 220 grit.

Print Settings

Printer:

FLSun Cube

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2mm, first layer 0.3mm.

Infill:

20%

Filament:
any cheap brand, PLA 1.75mm,
any color

Notes:

Rotate model to print on its side.
This print is very easy to create, but takes about 11 hours with 0.2mm layer height or about 8 hours with 0.3mm layer height.

Category: Tools
