I've been playing my new acoustic guitar in the dry winter air and it's been complaining about the strings buzzing badly. So I built a small humidifier that holds a damp sponge, which I place in the case with the guitar to re-humidify the wood and keep the strings sounding great! Now I just need to learn how to play it properly. Note that this design is tailored to the size of sponges I had on hand, so you may want to scale up or down as necessary for your specific sponge needs.
