Guitar Amp Jack Socket Blocker
thingiverse
This Thing is a small plastic taper for standard 6.35mm jack sockets found on most guitar amplifier backs.\r\n\r\nDuring live performances with my guitar amp, I often connected the footswitch jack to the wrong socket by mistake, resulting in unpredictable noises until I figured out what happened. In some cases, plugging into the incorrect socket could damage either the amp or whatever was connected to it.\r\n\r\nI initially covered all extra sockets with duct tape for a quick fix, but eventually wanted a neater solution, so I came up with this blocker plug idea to blank off unwanted sockets.\r\n\r\nThis design features a taper, yet internal dimensions of 1/4" sockets can vary greatly. To get the perfect fit, I recommend wrapping a single layer of electrical tape around the plug, ensuring it stays securely in place and doesn't fall out.
