Guitar Amp Footswitch / Effect pedal box
thingiverse
When I started playing guitar, switching channels and turning effects on/off manually was always a hassle, and let's be honest, not very cool! My practice amp is an Roland Cube 30x which allows me to change channels from clean to lead and turn effects on and off through a footswitch that I had to purchase separately when I bought it second hand. When I realized this, I quickly thought of printing my own footswitch to save money. As you can see in the pictures, it glows in the dark due to the fact that I had some luminous filament laying around and thought it would be handy to still be able to see it in the dark. It actually works quite well. I left the bottom open for now, you might want a cover plate on it, but I didn’t feel the need for one as of now. To make this footswitch, all you need is: * 2 footswitches * 1 stereo jack socket * 1 stereo jack cable of a length that suits your needs * some wire and a soldering iron The guitar stand in the pictures can be found on my profile as well. It was very handy for tuning and maintaining my guitar without damaging the headstock. Good luck printing it, let me know what you think in the comments and feel free to ask questions. Print Settings: Printer: XYZ Da Vinci 1.0A Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2-0.3 Infill: 60% Notes: These are roughly the settings I used, I did use support material to support the hollow section on the bottom, because printing it face down didn't give a good result.
