GuideCut - a guided Utility-Knife to trim paper, foil etc. at edges

I built this tool to assist in trimming straight edges on self-adhesive foil. While it was designed for that purpose, you can likely use it in various ways whenever cutting alongside an edge is necessary. The basic design accommodates standard trapezoid blades, but I'm willing to provide adapters for different blade types if needed. The blade is securely seated between the two holder parts. This assembly is then placed into the guide, and held together simultaneously. Carefully position the blade-holder in any of the slots within the guide to adjust spacing towards it. Exercise great caution when removing the blade! When cutting, adjust the cutting depth with very slight pressure on the blade. You're undoubtedly aware, but I must stress: please be careful when assembling, cutting, and adjusting - these blades are extremely sharp and can inflict serious injury if not handled properly.
