I recently created a new guide for Thingiverse's #1274297 to eliminate backlash entirely. You can print an insert designed specifically for tubes measuring 6 or 8 mm in diameter. The halves of this design will bond perfectly together using superglue. To ensure secure mounting, I opted for the M5 bolt and nut combination. However, it's worth noting that the original version of this design has a slightly larger nut that won't fit properly.
