Guide for card slot on Slimfold wallet

<p>This is a simple guide that can be glued into a Slimfold wallet to counteract the wear it receives over time.</p> <p>After 4 years of <del>ab</del>using my wallet, I found that the inner liner in it was starting to detach from the shell. This made putting my card back in a pain, as it would catch on the liner and I'd have to hold open the wallet to wiggle it back in.</p> <p>My solution was to create a guide that would hold that liner out of the way, but wasn't so bulky that it defeated the point of the wallet (being very thin). The guide is half the thickness of a credit card (and roughly the same thickness as a credit card at the fold).</p> <p>I have only tested this on my Slimfold Micro wallet. It might work for their Nano, but I haven't tested on that one. The angle is a little bit off, but I didn't get a chance to refine the angle after gluing the first print in.</p> <p>(I am not associated with Slimfold, I just wanted to extend the lifetime of my wallet)</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><ul> <li>I printed in PETG, but it should work in any rigid material. </li> <li>Printed at 0.07mm layer height. </li> <li>Infill does not matter as it should print solid. </li> <li>Print with the groove pointed UP, flat side down. </li> <li>The base layer is going to be 0.2mm, this is ok.</li> </ul> <p>To install:</p> <ul> <li>Fold along the groove, but away from the groove, this will allow the piece to fold flat.</li> <li>Insert the long end inside the wallet, and fold should match up with the end of the card slot.</li> <li>Glue in with a <strong>VERY SMALL</strong> line of super glue under the flap. <ul> <li>No glue is needed for the inside of the part. </li> <li>The picture shows what happens when you use too much glue.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
