The distinctive shape of two opposing outer, movable shades allows for creating a personal installation and a wide range of lighting values in a room. By individually rotating the shades, the Gubi Pendant Lamp can be transformed into multiple combinations where the light can be directed upwards, downwards or emit an asymmetrical art light. The Multi-Lite was first drawn in 1972 when Louis Weisdorf deviated from his usual design approach, which often involved using multiple repeating elements. Instead, he showcased his passion for diversity through this design. Two cylindrical shapes form the foundation of the lamp and a metal ring encompasses it and anchors the two quarter-spherical shades, resulting in an iconic design with multiple purposes. The Gubi Pendant Lamp has a timeless expression that fits into any domestic setting. The all-chrome and black versions come with black textile cords. The all-brass and blue versions come with golden textile cords. The white versions come with white textile cords. A matching frame is included with the canopy.
