A 3D scanned pig from Guatemala is presented here, featuring a carving with a drawable compartment. The owner sourced a wooden prototype for their aunt's collection and decided to create a 3D model themselves. A RAMPS 1.4 board, stepper motor, rotating platform, and Canon A480 with CHDK comprised the homemade scanner, while 3DSOM created the pig model and Sculptris refined its detailing. The drawer was scanned separately using OpenSCAD for negative space design. Post-print adjustments may be necessary according to printer tolerance levels.
