UPDATE 11-13-2014 I'm finally finished with my orb! I added pictures of the (near) final paint job. The last thing I need to do is make a few minor improvements to the STL files, then I'll replace these updates with detailed instructions. UPDATE 11-02-2014 My orbs and rims are now glued together, Bondo-ed, primed with filler sealer and sanded (four times), and just about ready to paint with the final colors. There will be a few additional changes to the STL files, including hidden mounting holes for magnets and a few more thickenings of thin edges. We're really close now! UPDATE 10-15-2014 I updated ExteriorNew.STL in order to make some of the thin walls thicker and fix a few things here and there. I'm printing it out right now. If all goes well, I hope it will be the final draft. UPDATE 10-01-2014 The new exterior is printed! It looks amazing at .1mm layer height, .4mm nozzle, 13 percent infill, and no supports. Printing took about 20 hours for one half sphere - not bad! See the first picture. UPDATE 10-01-2014 I'm more than halfway through printing the new exterior. That's enough to say it is printing without supports VERY WELL! If you were holding off until I confirmed that, now's your clear green light to start printing. UPDATE 09-30-2014 Old Exterior version removed from view - we don't need that extra clutter around here anymore. UPDATE 09-30-2014 Check it out: A brand new version of ExteriorNEW that does away with support towers! It'll print without any help needed. However, there's still risk involved. Give me 18 hours and I'll let you know if it worked. You might be interested in giving this a shot, just saying. UPDATE 09-30-2014 New exterior almost printed! That was the last part of the puzzle. Unfortunately support structures had to come out before completion - but no need to worry! It should fit fine once complete. UPDATE 09-20-2014 Oh yeah, fix to STL upload problems: planks connecting separate bottom pieces added! UPDATE 08-31-2014 Yay interior is working now! Made minor changes to Interior Side A and Side B to ensure better printing success. UPDATE 8-30-2014 SideB.STL of interior part done; hopefully they match up smoothly UPDATE 08-28-2014 Slice success!
