This stone sculpture, dating from the 11th to early 12th century, is of Cambodian or Thai origin and stands at a height of 109 cm. The guardian lion has been classified as a sculpture and is part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection, obtained through the Fletcher Fund in 1979 with accession number 1979.406. The work was captured and cleaned by Matt Griffin, Jason Bakutis, Liz Arum, and David Neff using Autodesk 123D Catch at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of the Met MakerBot Hackathon in June 2012.
