thingiverse

A pair of ancient Chinese limestone guardian lions from the Northern Qi dynasty (550-577) is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Measuring 25.75 inches in height, 22 inches in width, and 23 inches in depth, these sculptures were captured by John Briscella and Svetlana Briscella using Autodesk 123D Catch during the Met MakerBot Hackathon in June 2012. The lions are part of the museum's collection, with accession numbers 30.66.2, acquired through the Rogers Fund in 1930. They also make an excellent set of bookends without any modification. Further details and 3D printing files can be found on Thingiverse and the Metropolitan Museum of Art's website.
