This guardian at Ukhimath Temple posed a challenge for 3D scanning, its feet positioned well above my head. It was successfully 3D scanned using a Structure Scanner attached to an iPad Mini 4. Ukhimath is a small town and a Hindu pilgrimage site located in Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand, India. During the winter months, the idols from Kedarnath temple and Madhyamaheshwar are transported to Ukhimath and worshipped here for six months. In addition to these revered idols, Ukhimath is home to numerous other ancient temples dedicated to various Gods and Goddesses such as Usha, Shiva, Aniruddha, Parvati, and Mandhata. Situated on the road connecting Guptkashi with Gopeshwar, this holy town is primarily inhabited by the head priests of Kedarnath known as Rawals.
