This majestic sandstone sculpture is a stunning representation of Guanyin seated on a magnificent dragon throne. Crafted in the Shanxi Province during the 14th-15th Century (Ming dynasty), it's an awe-inspiring piece that showcases the region's rich cultural heritage. The bodhisattva Guanyin is easily recognizable due to the small image of Amitabha Buddha adorning his crown, which adds a touch of elegance to this already regal figure. The rocks flanking Guanyin are teeming with life, featuring nine unique animals that call these ancient stones home - a goat, an elephant, a mischievous monkey, a snake, a majestic dragon, a powerful lion, and a gentle deer, all gathered around the sacred mushroom of immortality. At Guanyin's feet stand two figures clad in hats, possibly representing generous donors, who are joined by two small bodhisattvas and a massive dragon, adding to the sense of wonder that surrounds this magnificent piece. This incredible sculpture is part of "Scan The World", an innovative initiative created by MyMiniFactory that aims to establish a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe, accessible for free to everyone.
