Guanyin (Avalokitesvara)
myminifactory
Guanyin, a bodhisattva crafted from wood with remnants of paint, originates from 12th century China and is now housed at the National Museum in Copenhagen, Denmark. The figure was created using Autodesk's Memento Beta software, which has since been renamed Remake. As the central savior figure in Mahayana Buddhism, Avalokitesvara embodies the boundless compassion of all Buddhas. With diverse depictions across various cultures, this bodhisattva is sometimes portrayed as female and other times as male. In Chinese Buddhist tradition, Avalokitesvara has evolved into the distinct female figure known as Guanyin, while in Cambodia, he appears as Lokesvara.
