GTX-Carriage Rework 1.0
thingiverse
I've upgraded my Geeetech printer's (specifically, my Prusa i3 Pro B) X-carriage design. Since I'm interested in trying out the Rework 1.0 extruder, I modified the original Prusa i3 x-carriage to fit seamlessly into my existing printer. 4 strategically positioned holes near the zip ties are dedicated for mounting the Rework 1.0. Additionally, I've included two precise holes situated near the belt to allow easy reinstallation of the MK8 Extruder if needed. Note that this modified X-carriage does not utilize the original LME8LUU linear bearings. Instead, you'll require four brand-new LME8UU bearings to operate this system successfully. To create this customized x-carriage: I extended the original Prusa i3 x-carriage and incorporated an additional structural arm seen in standard GT printers, enabling a precise reach of the x-endstop. Accommodated holes are designed to support mounting the Rework 1.0 extruder effortlessly Made sure to leave space for reinstating the MK8 Extruder by repositioning the original holes if necessary.
