I had an eGPU with a GeForce GTX 1080 card, and wanted to use the card on my desktop machine. Unfortunately, the card came with a fan that was too large and couldn't spin as the motherboard components blocked its path. I came up with this replacement fan mount as a solution. It mounts the fan about 1.5cm higher than the original black plastic mount that came with the card. Problem solved!
